Women's Lacrosse Senior Day on Saturday

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team had its match cancelled versus St. Edwards University on Saturday. To celebrate the five seniors on the squad, the Crusaders hosted an instrasquad game that welcomed friends and family to participate in. Photos of the event can be found here. Below are some highlights about each of these student-athletes. 

No. 9 Sarah Gamble

The 5'2'' midfielder from Allen, Texas, has played in two seasons with the program, Sarah is a dual-sport women's soccer player. With the lacrosse team, she has played in 20 matches, scored two goals and given five assists for seven points. She also has compiled 33 ground balls, 27 draw controls, and seven caused turnovers. She is majoring in Biology with a Concentration in Italian.

No. 11 Lexi Leite

The 5'5" attack from Houston, Texas, expects to letter four seasons with the program, Lexi has appeared in 48 matches and made 47 starts. Lexi ranks second all-time with 175 points and 154 goals. Lexi holds the career record for assists with 21. In addition, she has posted a career 67 ground balls, 57 draw controls, and 36 caused turnovers. Lexi was on the Independent Women's Lacrosse School First Team in 2017. Lexi is a double major in Economics and Finance. She plans on going into Sports Medicine at graduate school.

No. 14 Erika Keever

The 5'3" midfielder from Fort Worth, Texas, expects to letter four years with the program. She has started in all 46 games of her career. The 2018 team MVP ranks 4th in the program with 94 points and 83 goals. She is also tied 4th in assists. Erika led the team in draw controls in 2017 and 18, to help propel her to third all-time in the program with 104. Erika also has 87 ground balls, and 27 caused turnovers in her career. She is majoring in Theology.

No. 22 Ella Pedrozo

The 5'3" midfielder from Austin, Texas, lettered last season and is in her second season with the program after lettering two seasons with the Dallas women's soccer program. Ella has started all 19 games she has appeared in. She has scored three goals, picked up 41 ground balls, and forced 17 caused turnovers. Ella is majoring in Spanish.

No. 30 Mason Cosgrove

The 5'0" midfielder from Las Cruces, New Mexico, played with the lacrosse program for three seasons, and expects to letter a third time by the conclusion of this one. She was a dual sport, four-year letterwinner in women's soccer as well. Mason has played in 30 matches and started 27 times over her career. She has logged four goals, five assists, seven points, 88 ground balls, 42 draw controls, and 28 caused turnovers. She is tied for 4th all-time in caused turnovers and has ranked 2nd on the team the past two seasons. Mason is majoring in Biology and plans on attending veterinary school.
