Christine Jablonsky selected to 2014 @IWLCA West All-Region 'Second Team'

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - University of Dallas junior goalkeeper Christine Jablonsky (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has been named by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to the 2014 IWLCA West All-Region Second Team.

The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in NCAA Division III with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2014. The IWLCA All-American teams will be announced on Monday, May 19.

This is the first IWLCA accolade for Jablonsky. She was one of two goalkeepers listed among the West All-Region honorees.

A two-year letterwinner, Jablonsky set the single-season school record for saves in 2014. Her 165 cumulative saves surpassed Jennifer Kunhardt's 162 from the 2007 season.

Jablonsky's 36 ground balls also led second-year head coach Melissa Grant's squad.

With the 6-foot goalkeeper in net, the Lady Crusaders navigated to a 5-9 record in 2014. The program now has 11 seasons in the books, and these five victories tied the 2011 team's single-season school record for wins.

Having already achieved 276 career saves, Jablonsky looks toward the 2015 season to chase-down Megan Thornell's career-record of 358 saves.
