Five Lady Crusaders to play final home game of career on Thursday, March 17, as Women's Lacrosse celebrates 'Senior Day'

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team cordially invites you to Crusader Field for Thursday's 4:00 p.m. game versus Birmingham-Southern College (Ala.), as five seniors -- Meghan Frost, Kelli Fuentes, Anna Massey, Christine McFarland and Hannah Piper -- will play their final home game for Dallas. A pregame ceremony will take place at 3:45 p.m., detailing each of their careers.

Meghan Frost (Bandera, Texas/Northshore H.S.)
Meghan, from Bandera, Texas, is in her fourth year with the team and has played in a total of 44 games to date.  Meghan has also been a strong point in the UD defense over the years.  In her career, Meghan has registered 10 goals, 1 assist, 78 ground balls, 16 draw controls and 27 caused turnovers.  Meghan's 78 ground balls places her second all time for total ground balls in UD history.  Meghan was a team captain for the 2010 season and, played on the women's basketball team for three years and is currently playing on the softball team as well.

Kelli Fuentes (Rowlett, Texas/Rowlett H.S.)
Kelli is from Rowlett, Texas and joined the team at the end of the 2010 season and has started in four games so far in the 2011 season on defense.  Kelli brings a great work ethic, attitude and terrific athleticism to the team and has contributed with a number of ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers in her young lacrosse career.  Kelli is also a three-time all-AD3I volleyball player for the UD volleyball team.

Anna Massey (Amarillo, Texas/River Road H.S.)

Anna hails from Amarillo, Texas and has played three years in goal for the team a freshman, junior and senior.  She has appeared in 32 games so far, helping to anchor the defense while averaging 8.3 saves per game for her career.  Anna currently has the 2nd most saves all time in University of Dallas history with 253 saves and is also 2nd all time for her goals against average.

Christine McFarland (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park H.S.)
Christine hails from Floral Park, New York, and has played all four years for the University of Dallas at midfield and attack and has been a valuable part of the UD offense.  Christine was also named captain for the 2009, 2010 and 2011 seasons.  She has recorded a total of 157 goals and 8 assists along with 155 ground balls, 238 draw controls, and 46 caused turnovers.  Christine holds the school record for total goals in a career and is in third in total assists. Christine holds team records for most total points, most ground balls, most draw controls, and most caused turnovers in a career. She holds a number of single game records: records for goals and points in a game with 11, draw controls with 11 in a single game, and is tied for first in total caused turnovers in a single game with 4.  Christine owns the following single season records: total goals with 56, total points with 58, ground balls with 43 and draw controls with 56.  In 2008, Christine was 21st in the nation in draw controls per game.  In 2009, she was 27th in the nation in draw controls per game.  For 2010, Christine was 5th in the nation in draw controls per game, and was 11th in the nation in goals per game.

Hannah Piper (Lake Charles, La./St. Louis Catholic H.S.)
Hannah, from Lake Charles, Louisiana, is in her fourth year of playing as well, and is one of the current captains for 2011.  Hannah has appeared in 44 games to date, starting in most, and is another integral part of the Crusader defense.  Hannah has one goal in her career, and has registered 27 ground balls, 12 draw controls, and 8 caused turnovers to date.
