IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team (1-5) fell to visiting Pomona-Pitzer College (CA), Saturday morning at Crusader Field, by the count of 18-7.

Sophomore attack Mary Salotto (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline H.S.) led the way offensively for the Lady Crusaders, shooting all four of her scoring attempts past the Pomona netminder. She was followed by senior attack Christine McFarland (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park H.S.), who had a two goal performance on the day; sophomore attack Irene Harris (Cockeysvile, Md./Maryvale Preparatory) had a score as well. Additionally, McFarland contributed the Dallas' lone assist.

Defensively, freshman midfielder Samantha Mason (Elgin, Texas/Elgin H.S.) spent most of the morning in net for Dallas, producing all of the team's 11 saves.  McFarland led the Lady Crusaders in ground balls, gathering four, while senior defender Meghan Frost (Bandera, Texas/Northshore H.S.) added three to give the Lady Crusader an 11-10 edge in ground balls.
