Dallas Lacrosse Ousted by Carthage College
In the final of three games in Birmingham, AL for the University of Dallas lacrosse team, UD fell behind early in the 17-7. Clearly out of energy after back to back contests, Dallas dropped behind the Redman of Carthage College 13-2 at the half before making up some ground in the second frame in the 10 goal loss.
Junior midfielder/attack Christine McFarland (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park Memorial H.S.) paced the Crusaders with 6 goals, while adding a team leading 8 draw controls, and tying for the team lead with 7 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers. Freshman attack Julianna Rossi (Sammamish, WA/Eastside Catholic H.S.) added UD's final goal, her first college score, and added 3 groundball pickups and a draw control. Junior defender Becky Williams (Lyman, SC/Marianapolis Prep) tied McFarland with 7 groundballs.
The 1-7 UD lacrosse team has some time off before heading to Pennsylvania to play Waynesburg University on April 9 at 7:00pm in Waynesburg, PA and St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA at 12:00pm.
