UD Lacrosse Shutout by York College

The Dallas lacrosse team lost 20-0 to the York College Spartans of Pennsylvania. Down by 11 at the half, the UD defense limited the Spartans to 9 goals before the final horn sounded. Statistical leaders for UD were junior midfielder/attack Christine McFarland (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park Memorial H.S.) and freshman midfielder/attack Mary Salotto (Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline H.S.). McFarland took 3 shots (2 on goal), and led the team with 3 groundballs, 4 draw controls, and 1 caused turnover. Salotto also had 3 shots (2 on goals) and added 1 draw control. Goalkeeper Anna Massey (Amarillo, TX/River Road H.S.) recorded 11 saves in 60 minutes in goal.

The 0-2 lacrosse team heads to San Antonio, TX where they will play three games on St. Mary's University's home field. The team plays the College of Wooster on March 7 at 3:00pm, Wittenberg University on March 8 at 12:00pm, and Colby-Sawyer College on March 10 at 4:00pm.
