Women's Golf Finish Third in FST Invitational

LONGVIEW, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up competition in the FST Invitational hosted by LeTourneau University on Tuesday. The Crusaders finished in third place with a two-round score of 694 (+118). They finished 10 strokes ahead of the hosts, LeTourneau, and 33 strokes behind runners-up Southwestern.
William Penn maintained their day one lead and held on for the team trophy with a score of 653 (+77), eight strokes ahead of Southwestern. Olivia Lange of William Penn also held onto the top spot after finishing day one as the leader, claiming the individual title with a score of 156 (+12).
Kimberly Burch shaved six strokes off her round one score to shoot 78, climbing four spots to finish in fourth place, just one stroke off the podium, with a score of 161 (+17).
Lauren Waltzer was the biggest mover on the day for Dallas, climbing seven spots with an 83 in round two to finish in 14th with a score of 172 (+28). Madi Meduna finished T21 with a 92 in round two to post a score of 180 (+36), while Claire Kirby (pictured) climbed three spots to T23 with an 89 in round two. She posted a two-round score of 181 (+37). Gabby Ramirez shot 96, finishing in 33rd with a score of 194 (+24).

The Crusaders are back in action next week at the Texas Cup in Richardson, Texas, hosted by UTD. The Tournament in will start on Monday, March 18.
