Women's Golf Wraps up Day One of FST Invitational

LONGVIEW, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team finished round one of the FST Invitational hosted by LeTourneau University on Monday.  The Crusaders ended the day in fourth place in the field of seven teams with a total score of 352 (+64).  Dallas currently has the second best team score on Par 4's with a 5.00 scoring average.

The leaders, William Penn University, finished with a score of 326 (+38), nine strokes ahead of second place Southwestern.

Kimberly Burch (pictured) shot 83 (+11) in round one, leading the Crusaders in a tie for eighth place at the end of round one.

Madi Meduna shot an 88 (+16) to finish in a three-way tie for 19th, and Lauren Waltzer was right behind with an 89 in sole possession of 22nd.  Claire Kirby shot 92 to end the day in 26th, and Gabby Ramirez shot 98 to finish T31.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:00 am.
