Women's Golf Finish 6th at The Legends Cup

KINGSLAND, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team finished in sixth place at The Legends Cup on Tuesday after a round two score of 329 to finish with a two-round score of 657 (+81).  The Crusaders finished 14 strokes ahead of seventh place Millsaps College and nine strokes behind fifth place Schreiner University.  The hosts, Mary Hardin-Baylor, took first place with a round two score of 291, the only team round under 300 in the tournament, finishing with a two-day score of 598 (+22).

Kimberly Burch shaved one stroke off her round one score to shoot a 77 (+5) in round two and finish in ninth place, capturing the 17th top-10 finish of her career.  Izzy Crow of Mary Hardin-Baylor won the individual title with a 71 in roudn two to finish +2 for the tournament.

Lauren Waltzer dropped to tied for 28th with an 84 in round two, finishing at +20 for the tournament.  Madi Meduna and Clair Kirby both moved up the table; Meduna went up six places to tied for 36th (+25) with an 83, and Clair Kirby moved up to tied for 42nd (+28) with an 85 in round two.  Gabby Ramirez dropped one place, finishing with Meduna at tied for 36th (+25) with a round two score of 85.

The Crusaders are back in action on Monday, Oct. 16 and Tuesday, Oct. 17, when they will travel down to Houston to compete in the UHV Fall Classic.
