Burch and Kirby Make All-SCAC, Crusaders Take Fourth at Conference Championship

KERRVILLE, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up play at the SCAC Championship hosted by Schreiner University on Tuesday.

The Crusaders finished with a two-round score of 686 to take fourth place, 28 strokes ahead of fifth place Schreiner and 14 strokes behind third place St. Thomas.  Trinity University won the team trophy with a two-round score of 627, 18 strokes ahead of the runners up, Southwestern University.

Kimberly Burch fell from her perch at the top of the leaderboard with an 86 in round two, but still secured her 15th career top 10 finish in 19 starts.  Claire Kirby was the biggest upward mover of the day for all teams, climbing six spots with an 82 in round two to finish T11.  Both Burch and Kirby were selected to the All-SCAC team for their performance in the tournament.

Lauren Waltzer finished in 22nd at +33, Gabby Ramirez finished T25 at +39, and Madi Meduna climbed two spots to finish in 28th at +43 for the tournament.  Emma Christensen rounded out the field for Dallas, finsihing in 35th with a two-round score of 227.
