Crusaders Wrap Up Space City Classic, Burch Takes Fourth

HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up competition in the Space City Classic on Tuesday.  The Crusaders shaved 16 strokes off their team score from day one, shooting a 325 in round two to finish with a total score of 666 for the tournament.  They finished 13 strokes ahead of seventh place Schreiner University and 12 strokes behind fifth place, who dropped from their fourth place finish on day one.

LeTourneau cut 10 strokes from their day one total to climb into fourth place past St. Thomas, and Trinity shaved off seven strokes to slide past Concordia for the win.

Kimberly Burch led the pack for Dallas with a 76 in round two, finsihing with sole possession of fourth place.  Her birdie on hole five would be the difference maker, as she finished one stroke above Southwestern's Ryleigh Erickson.  Burch finished third in par-3 scoring and tied for second in birdies.

Lauren Waltzer was the biggest mover on the day for Dallas, trimming nearly 10 strokes off her day one score to shoot a 77 and climb 13 places to a tie for 15th.

Gabby Ramirez was five strokes better from day one, finishing T33 with an 85 in round two; Medi Meduna shot an 87 to take 36th, and Claire Kirby shot a 95 to finish in 39th.
