Dallas Takes 5th at Tempest Intercollegiate

GLADEWATER, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up competition in the Tempest Intercollegiate, hosted by LeTourneau University, on Tuesday afternoon.  They took fifth place in the tournament with a final score of 678, 25 strokes ahead of Texas Lutheran and six strokes behind East Texas Baptist.  Concordia-Texas held onto their lead and took first place with a two-round score of 620.

The Crusaders nearly replicated their scores from day one.  After shooting an 83 in round one, Lauren Waltzer shot an 84 in round two to tie for 21st with teammate Kimberly Burch.  Having shot an 84 in round one, Burch shaved one stroke off in round two.  Gabby Ramirez did replicate her round one score, shooting an 84 to finish tied for 24th.  Clair Kirby shaved off six strokes from her day one total thanks in no small part to an 80-yard eagle on 16 to start her day.  She went on to shoot an 85 in round two and finish in 27th.
