Burch In Second After Day One of SCAC Championship
BLANCO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team competed in the first day of the SCAC Championship on Monday. They posted a one-round team score of 351 (+63). They are sandwiched between fifth place Schreiner (374, +86), and Southwestern and St. Thomas who are tied for second place (328, +40). The hosts, Trinity, are the leaders with a team score of 323 (+35).
Kimberly Burch has put herself in an excellent position to contend for the individual title, taking second place with a round one score of 76. She is one stroke behind the leader, Trinity's Kiona Hsiu, and one stroke ahead of St. Thomas' Trinity Le.
Clair Kirby is in a four-way tie for 14th with a score of 86 (+14), just three strokes outside of the top 10. Kaylei Richardson has sole possession of 23rd with a score of 93, Madi Meduna is T25 with a 96, and Emma Christensen is 34th with a round one score of 117.
