Burch Named SCAC Golfer of the Week as Dallas Takes Fifth

TEMPLE, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up competition in the Lady Crusader Spring Invitational in Temple, Texas on Tuesday, April 12.  After 36 holes, the Crusaders finished the tournament in fifth place with a team score of 693.  They nearly replicated their day one score of 346, posting a day two score of 347 to finish +117 for the event.  The tournament hosts, Mary Hardin-Baylor, shot a 306 on day two to secure their victory with a team score of 621 (+45).

The Crusaders' Kimberly Burch was in first place with a one stroke lead after day one, shooting the lowest round in program history with a 74.  She shot an 81 on day two, slipping to a fourth place finish.  She was just three strokes behind the champion, Avery Hill of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  For her perfomance, Burch was named SCAC Golfer of the Week.  The SCAC's full release can be found here.

Clair Kirby climbed three spots to finish 15th (+26), and Madi Meduna and Kaylei Richardson rounded out the field for the Crusaders tied for 24th (+40).

The Lady Crusader Spring Invitational marks the end of the regular season for Dallas.  The SCAC Championships will start on Monday, April 18.
