UD in fourth, Burch in first place after day one at UMHB

Temple, TX - The University of Dallas women's golf team competed in day one of the Lady Crusader Spring Invitational in Temple, Texas on Monday, April 11.  After 18 holes, Dallas ended the day in fourth place with a team score of 346, 58 strokes over par.  The tournament hosts, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, ended the day in first with a team score of 315, 27 strokes over par.

UD's Kimberly Burch leads the field with a score of 74, two over par, after Monday's round.  Makenzie Pinkston of East Texas Baptist University is in second place with a score of 75, and Sarah Kmiecik from UMHB is in third with 76 strokes.

For the other Crusaders, Clair Kirby tied for 18th at 88 stokres, Kaylei Richardson is tied for 20th with 89 strokes, and Madi Meduna is in 28th with 95 stokes.

The tournament will conclude with the second round on Tuesday, April 12.
