Crusaders Take 11th at Texas Cup

PLANO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team wrapped up competition in the Texas Cup at the Courses at Watters Creek on Sunday.  The crusaders finished in 11th place out of 14 teams, shooting a two-day total of 701 as a team.  They finished 17 strokes ahead of 12th place Hardin-Simmons and five strokes behind 10th  place Millikin University. The Champions, Carthage College, shot 603, 14 strokes ahead of runners-up Trinity University.

Kimberly Burch led the Crusaders, finishing T26 with a two-day total of 163; shesat in 10th after shooting a 77 on day one, but dropped down the leaderboard with an 86 on day two.  Kaylei Richardson, Clair Kirby, and Madi Meduna were all within three storkes of each other, finishing in 56th, T57, and T62, respectively.  Meduna was one of only five players to shoot under par on Par 3's, going -1 for the tournament.  She was also in the top 20 in birdies, recording four across both days.  Burch was in the top five in pars made, notching 22.

The Crusaders have three weeks until their final regular season event.  They will be playing in the Lady Crusaders Spring Invitational starting April 11.
