Burch Takes Fourth at Schreiner Spring Shootout

KERRVILLE, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team shot a two-round score of 743 to finish fifth at the Schreiner Spring Shootout on Tuesday.  After facing tough conditions on day one, the Crusaders cut 20 strokes off their team score on day two with a round score of 361, finishing +73 for the tournament.  They finished 14 strokes behind fourth place Our Lady of the Lake, and 41 strokes ahead of sixth place Schreiner.

Kimberly Burch sat in fifth place after a round one score of 84.  She cut three strokes off her score in round two to finish in sole possession of fourth place; she was one stroke behind thrid place, and four strokes off the leader, Kiona Hsiu of Trinity.  Kaylei Richardson finished in a three-way tie for 27th with a two-round score of 188.  Claire Kirby and Madi Meduna finished 30th and 31st with scores of 191 and 199, resepectively.  Tiffany Han withdrew and did not play in either round.

Up Next

The Crusaders are back in action in a week and a half.  They will participate in the Texas Cup at the Watters Creek Golf Club on Saturday 3/19 and Sunday 3/20.
