Burch Takes Second in Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team shot a two-round score of 674 to finish sixth in the Alamo City Classic at the Quarry Golf Club.  After shooting 338 in the opening round yesterday, the Crusaders knocked two strokes off their team score to shoot a 336 in round two, finishing +52 for the Tournament; they were 12 strokes behind fifth place Concordia Texas and 34 off the leaders, Trinity University.

Kimberly Burch was tied for first place after round one with a score of 75, tied with Trinity's Caterina Mora.  Though she couldn't hold on to secure the first individual win ever for the program, Burch broke her own record with a program best 72 in round two to finish in second place, also a program best. Kayleigh Richardson was the next Crusader in the standings tied for 22nd.  Her round two score of 79 and two-round total of 171 both would have been new program records if not for Burch's record breaking performances today and last week in the Tempest Intercollegiate.
