Trio of Crusaders Completed Round 1 of SCAC Championships

BLANCO, Texas - Clair Kriby (Lubbock, Texas), Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas) and Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah) competed individually for the University of Dallas women's golf team in the first round of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship on Monday.

Kirby sits in 19th with a score of 92 strokes, Richardson is tied for 21st with a score of 96 strokes and Christensen is tied for 25th with 106 strokes.

The Pirates of Southwestern University narrowly lead the Tigers of Trinity University after day one.  The Pirates have a score of 319 and the Tigers have 320 strokes.

Southwestern's Madison Goldberg is the current tournament medalist position, shooting Even with a score of 72.  Trinity's Kiona Hsiu and Erin Flynn are in second and third at +6 and +7 with scores of 78 and 79.

The SCAC Championship will conclude at the end of the second round on Tuesday.
