Crusaders Women's Golf Competed at Texas Cup over Weekend

PLANO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf teams completed the Texas Cup in Plano, Texas, on Saturday and Sunday.  Clarie Kriby (Lubbock, Texas) and Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah) finished tied for 20th and 29th, individually, for Dallas. Kirby had the best scores for UD with a 91 in the first round and 94 in the second round. 

Host school, UT-Dallas, was able to win two-of-three team top finishes. The UTD A-team won the tournament with a team score of 653, which was eight strokes ahead of UC Santa Cruz. UTD's B-team placed third with a score of 684. 

Maddy Vilven who competed on the UTD B-team won the tournament with a low score of 149.

Dallas will compete again next week on March 29 and 30 at the Lady Crusader Spring Invitational in Killeen, Texas, hosted by UMHB. After that, the team is off until the SCAC Championships in late April.
