Kirby and Christensen Tee'd off Monday to Start Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas) and Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah) competed individually for the University of Dallas women's golf team at the Alamo City Classic on Monday. After one round of play, Kirby currently sits in 21st place with a score of 95 and Christiansen is tied for 26th with a score of 102.

After the first 18 holes, the top three spots are all held by the University of Texas at Dallas.  Lindy Patterson, Marrissa Langer, and Karen Alvarez all shot well for the Comets with scores of 74, 75, and 76.  The top Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) athlete was Trinity University's Joanna Kass who is in fourth place with a score of 77.

The top three teams after the first round are UT-Dallas with 306, Trinity with 318, and St. Thomas University with 342.
