Crusaders Cruise Past Celts

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team ______their conference match with the University of St. Thomas on Saturday. ____ 9-11 or 8-12

The Crusaders quickly took control of the game, jumping out to an 8-0 lead after three minutes.  They dominated the paint for the entire first half, out rebounding the Celts 25-15 and tallying three blocks.  

Tessa Hastings saw limited time on the court as she is returning from an injury, but was still the spark on offense for Dallas.  She led all players with 14 points, going 5-of-7 from the field in eight minutes.

Dallas was even better in the second half, going 8-of-15 from the field.  They went into halftime with a comfortable 22 point cushion.

It was more of the same in the second half, as the Crusaders cruised to their second biggest win of the season with a 32-point margin of victory.

Hastings would finish as the games scoring leader with 19 points, going 7-of-13 from the field and 3-of-7 from deep.  Ashley Hall was second on the team with 13 points, going 5-of-9 from the field.

The Crusaders will hit the road next week for a pair of conference games.  They will face Trinity on Friday, Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m.
