Crusaders Drop Season Finale to Trinity

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team lost their conference matchup with Trinity 73-42 Sunday evening.  They finish the season with a 5-19 overall record and a 2-14 conference record.

Though both teams were a bit slow off the mark, it wasn't long before Trinity took control of the game.  That control was further strengthened when Canai McPherson was forced to leave the game with an injury after just seven minutes.  The Crusaders' leading scorer would not re-enter the game, and Trinity took a 24-point lead into the break.

Things were a bit closer in the second half, but Trinity continued to expand their lead.  There was no coming back for the Crusaders, as the Tigers saw out a comfortable win.

Adryan Alvarez led the team with nine points.  Imani Hardin led all players with 13 rebounds, giving the Crusaders the edge on the boards 45-41.  The Crusaders were simply playing for pride at this point in the season, with all six seeds in the tournament already decided and Trinity already locked in as the number one seed with an undefeated conference record.
