JACKSON, Miss. - The University of Dallas women's basketball team lost their non-conference matchup with Rhodes College 56-75 this evening. They fall to 1-4 on the year.
The Crusaders were able to hang with the Lynx for large stretches of the game. They trailed by just one point after the first quarter, and 14 minutes in had the game tied up. But Rhodes went on a 15-5 run to close out the second quarter and head into halftime with a 10 point lead.
Dallas were once again able to match Rhodes point for point in the third quarter, but were unable to cut into the deficit. Rhodes were able to pad their lead in the 4th quarter and see out the win, handing the Crusaders their foruth loss of the season.
Canai McPherson led the Crusaders in scoring yet again with 28 points, her fourth game this season with 20 points or more. Imani Hardin secured 10 rebounds for the third straight game, leading the Crusaders in boards on the night.
