Big 4th Quarter Gives Hendrix the Win

CONWAY, Ark. - The University of Dallas women's basketball team lost their non-conference game with Hendrix College this evening by a final score of 63-51.  They will fall to 1-3 on the year.

For 30 minutes, the game could have gone either way.  It was all square going into halftime, the Warriors outscoring Dallas 13-11 in the first quarter, and the Crusaders outscoring Hendrix 12-10 in the second quarter.  Canai McPherson was on pace for another solid game, scoring 12 points of the Crusaders 23 points in the first half.  After three quarters, the two teams could still hardly be separated, with Hendrix holding a narrow 40-39 lead going into the fourth quarter.

But the Crusaders let the game slip from their grasp.  Dallas went ice cold, going 2-21 from the field in the fourth quarter and were 0-10 from beyond the arc.  Eight of their 12 points in the period came from the free throw line.  Hendrix only scored five field goals the entire period, but padded their lead by going 13-17 from the line.

Camille Fowler had 10 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes.  McPherson led the team with 23 points and six steals.
