2021 UD Top Performer: Herron Sharp 3-Point Shooting in Colorado

IRVING, Texas - We will be taking a look back at top individual performances and moments from the spring of 2021. It was a unique semester in which the University of Dallas had 15 NCAA sponsored sports competing.

Anika Herron delivered a pair of great shooting performances off the bench in back-to-back games at Colorado College. Playing in the high altitude which is known to stifle offenses, Herron posted career-highs on consecutive nights with 16 and 18 points, respectively. More impressive was the freshman guard shot 5-of-7 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point territory in the first game. She followed that with 6-of-10 and 5-of-8 the next day in those respective ranges. Herron lifted the Crusaders to a victory in the second game, which spoiled the Tigers' bid for the number one seed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament (SCAC). Herron would earn United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week for her effort.
