Turner Named Dallas Women's Basketball Team MVP

IRVING, Texas – Amber Turner (Rogers Ark.) was named the University of Dallas women's basketball Team MVP for the 2020-21 season. The honor is voted on by student-athletes. Turner claimed the honor for the first time, as the graduate student competed with Dallas for the first time this season.

Turner was a veteran among a roster of 12 that featured nine freshmen. In 10 starts she logged the most minutes with 351 (35.1 average) and was near the top in several statistical categories. She finished third in scoring with 91 points and averaged a 9.1-clip. Her 51 rebounds, 18 steals, and 29 assists were all second on the squad.

Turner did lead in made three-pointers with 16. her 16-for-33 shooting led to a 48.5 three-point field goal percentage, which came in third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Turner was one-of-two Crusaders named All-SCAC Honorable Mention.
