FIRST TIP

The University of Dallas women's basketball team plays its fourth game in a weeklong stretch with No. 20 Austin College visiting the Maher Center on January 21. Tip-off is slated for around 7:30 p.m. These teams will lockup on Saturday in Sherman around 4 p.m. to kickoff the second half of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play.

UD NOTES

- Dallas enters 3-12 overall and 1-7 in SCAC play. The team has lost seven in a row with the most recent at Southwestern University on Saturday.

- Beyonce Perry (Lake Jackson, Texas) has hit a three-pointer in all-but one game this season. She continues to lead the squad with 11.9 points-per-game.

- Jules Oliveti (Southlake, Texas) is the leader on the glass with 6.9 rebounds a contest.

- Panda Houseworth (Farmersville, Texas) is averaging 3.0 assists. In eight games the senior guard has dished at least three dimes. Both times her season-high of six have occurred this season are at home (Dallas Christian (12/6) and Schreiner (1/11).


(Opponent Notes)

- Austin College enters 13-2 overall and 6-2 in the league. The team bounced back after consecutive losses with a 30-point (89-59) triumph at Texas Lutheran University on Saturday.

- The 'Roos were ranked No. 20 by D3Hoops.com and No. 21 by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association a week ago (updated early in the week, weekly). AC has been ranked in top 20 of D3Hoops.com the past two weeks.

- Kacie West averages 13.9 points to lead team, while Reagan Chiaverini has averaged 11.7 points. The 'Roos are averaging 76.5 points an outing.

- Ally Longaker is the leader for rebounding average (7.5). The team is averaging 15.7 assists and 8.7 steals, which are both favorable advantages to opponents.
