DeCoud and Stoia Tabbed USCAA All-Americans

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – On Tuesday, the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA) released the men's and women's Division I and II Basketball All-Americans and End of the Year Awards. The University of Dallas women's basketball team had two players voted among those on the Women's Division I Teams with Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) and Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) receiving nods. The top scoring tandem this season for Dallas were named Honorable Mentions in 2015-16.

DeCoud has been named every season in her career and was tabbed for the first time on the USCAA Second Team. The team's leading scorer (15.3) and rebounder (10.3) averaged double-doubles in points and rebounds and garnered a team-high 12 double-doubles on the campaign. In the USCAA, DeCoud rounded out the top five in rebounds per game. She ranked 2nd in blocks per contest (2.2) and boasted a school single-season record of 57. Her total helped the Crusaders set a team individual season record of 92. DeCoud earned USCAA Player-of-the-Week this year as well.

Stoia garnered an All-American for consecutive seasons. The senior was the other UD scorer to average double figures (13.3). She ended the season ranked 10th in the USCAA for three-point field goal percentage (37.8). Stoia became just the 7th player in program history to achieve 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds. Her 1,037 total points in four seasons rank 11th all-time, and she is part of a group of nine players to haul in at least 500 boards. She ends her career eighth with 568 balls hauled in off the glass. Stoia snagged two SCAC Players-of-the-Week and one USCAA Player-of-the-Week the same as the first previous mentioned accolade.

Both DeCoud and Stoia add to their postseason achievements this week as the duo won spots on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) all-conference teams.
