DeCoud Tabbed Women's Basketball USCAA Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. - Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) of University of Dallas earns this week's United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week honors. DeCoud posted a career-highs in points (34) and field goals (13) last week as the Crusaders earned their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) victory of the season at Centenary College. The junior passed the 500 career rebounds mark and averaged a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds per game during the week. 

She is the second member of the Crusaders to earn the accolade this season, with Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) earning the previous one.

DeCoud remains in atop the SCAC and 4th in USCAA with 11.1 rebounds-per-game. DeCoud also checks into the SCAC top five this week with a 15.4 scoring average (2nd) and 50.5 field goal shooting percentage (4th). The forward has been a force guarding the rim with 40 blocked shots and entered the week tied 19th in NCAA Division III.

Dallas hosts Dallas Christian College Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. before Schriner University and Trinity University visit later in the week respecitvely on Friday and Sunday.
