IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team (10-7, 2-4 SCAC) was defeated 85-69 by Trinity University on Friday evening at the Maher Athletic Center.

After trailing by as many as 11 points in the first-half, the Lady Crusaders took a 41-40 lead into halftime.

Head coach Jina Johansen's squad used a 13-4 run, midway through the initial half, to get back into the game.

Senior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) and freshman guard Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) combined for 11 points during this span, and both went on to finish the game with a team-high 18 points apiece.

The second-half had five lead changes. The navy and white could not slow Anecia Richardson, who ended with a game-high 26 points for Trinity.

Richardson put the Lady Tigers up for good, with 16:53 to go in the contest. Her converted layup started a 10-0 run, and Trinity did not look back.

They boasted a game-high 20-point (74-54) advantage, with 6:55 remaining on the scoreboard, and held their counterpart to a 9-of-35 (25.7 percent) mark from the field in the second-half.

Hannah Coley contributed 18 points for Trinity, while her teammate Murphy Burns added 14 of her own. Freshman guard Lindsey Gendron (Houston, Texas) rounded-out double-figure scorers, as she netted 10 points for the Lady Crusaders.

Dallas was outrebounded (49-35), and Trinity had 10 more attempts from the charity stripe. The Lady Crusaders lost points in the paint (38-22), but held a positive margin in bench points (35-16).
