IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team (6-1) pushed their winning-streak to six games, with a 69-51 victory over Oglethorpe University (3-6, 1-0 SAA) on Friday night at the Maher Athletic Center.

The Lady Crusaders held a 28-25 advantage at the break, following nine lead changes in the first-half. In the tightly-contested initial period, both teams each led by a half-high four points.

Dallas set the tone early in the second-half, as they opened with six-unanswered points to claim a 34-25 lead with 17:22 remaining.

Head coach Jina Johansen's squad went on to achieve a game-high 19-point lead (67-48) with 43 seconds to go, before ending with an 18-point win. 

The navy and white sank 12-of-16 free throws in the final period to finish 18-of-27 on the game. The Stormy Petrels were 7-of-16 from the charity stripe. 

Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) tallied her fourth double-double on the season, as the senior post paired a game-high 17 rebounds (four offensive) with 12 points. She also had three steals and an assist in 26 minutes on the court.

Freshman guard Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) garnered a team-high 13 points and eight assists. She added two steals and an offensive rebound in 27 minutes of play.

Junior forward Brooke Hagemann (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and junior guard Marleyna Bustamante (Donna, Texas) contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively, to round-out double-figure scorers for Dallas. 

Oglethorpe's Ciara Hughes managed a game-high 14 points in 34 minutes of action.

The Lady Crusaders outrebounded their counterpart (41-37), and boasted positive margins in points-off-turnovers (17-10), second-chance points (11-6) and fast-break points (6-0).

Dallas battles Kalamazoo College on Monday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. EST, in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Lady Hornets (4-4) have won four-straight games.
