Christy Allen named 2013-14 @USCAA Women's Basketball 'Second Team' All-American

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has deemed senior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) as a 2013-14 USCAA Women's Basketball Division I Second Team All-American.

This is the first USCAA postseason-award designation for Allen.

The honor comes for the four-year letterwinner, following a 14-13 (5-9 SCAC) season by the Lady Crusaders.

At 5-foot-10, Allen finished fifth in the USCAA, with 92 offensive rebounds.

She also notably had 246 total rebounds (seventh), 9.5 rebounds per game (seventh), 154 defensive rebounds (eighth) and a 49.8 field-goal percentage (eighth). 

Allen ended her career with 1,008 points, to the tune of 10 points-per-game in 101 games played. She tallied 785 career rebounds, to average 7.8 per game.
