Christy Allen chosen to 2013-14 All-@SCAC_Sports Women's Basketball 'Second Team'

SAN ANTONIO - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) has named University of Dallas senior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) to the 2013-14 All-SCAC Women's Basketball Second Team.

This honor comes for Allen, following a 14-13 (5-9 SCAC) season by the Lady Crusaders.

Head coach Jina Johansen's squad entered the 2013-14 SCAC Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seed.

The navy and white defeated No. 6 seed Southwestern University by a score of 66-58 in the SCAC quarterfinals, before falling 60-54 to host-school Trinity University in the semifinals.

Allen, a 5-foot-10 four-year letterwinner, finished with a league-best 96 offensive rebounds in the 2013-14 season. 

She also notably had 259 total rebounds (second), a 50.0 field-goal percentage (second), 163 defensive rebounds (third), 9.6 rebounds per game (third), 136 converted rebounds (fifth), 340 points (11th) and 12.6 points per game (12th).

Allen ended her career with 1,008 points, to the tune of 10 points-per-game in 101 games played. She tallied 785 career rebounds, to average 7.8 per game.
