Women's Basketball churns out 75-67 (OT) win over Colorado College
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Dallas women's basketball team (9-11, 3-8 SCAC) had five players enter double-figures in a 75-67 overtime victory over Colorado College on Saturday afternoon at Reid Arena.
Sophomore guard Emily Madden's (Torrington, Wyo.) 10 points in the first-half helped Dallas take a 33-28 lead into halftime over Colorado (3-18, 3-8 SCAC).
In a game with 11 lead changes, Brooke Hagemann (Oklahoma City, Okla.) sent the contest into overtime -- knotted 55-55 -- on a pair of made free throws. The sophomore guard finished with a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds).
Kylie Yoshimura (Temple City, Calif.) knocked down two free throws with 15 seconds remaining in the extra frame to give Dallas a game-high 11-point lead. The senior guard ended 10-of-10 from the charity stripe and produced a game-high 17 points.
Junior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) managed a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds), also going a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Marleyna Bustamante (Donna, Texas) was the fifth to enter double-figures for the Lady Crusaders, as the sophomore guard added 12 points in the eight-point triumph.
Head coach Jina Johansen's squad netted 32-of-33 (97 percent) from the free-throw line, coaxing Colorado into 23 fouls.
Dallas forced 27 turnovers en route to a 26-7 points-off-turnovers advantage. The Lady Crusaders also established an 18-5 second-chance points margin.

Dallas hosts Austin College (9-13, 3-9 SCAC) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Maher Athletic Center.
