Second-half surge gives Trinity 60-52 triumph over Women's Basketball
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team (7-10, 2-7 SCAC) fell 60-52 to Trinity University on Friday evening at the Maher Athletic Center, as the Lady Tigers rallied behind five second-half 3-pointers.
Dallas went into halftime with a 27-23 advantage after leading by a game-high 10 points with 3:50 remaining in the first half.
Led by Anecia Richardson's game-high 18 points, Trinity (14-4, 8-0 SCAC) countered with a 37-25 second half.
Over the contest's final 4:19, the Lady Tigers went on a 9-2 run to shut the door on head coach Jina Johansen's squad.
Libby Kruse managed 15 rebounds (seven offensive) to help Trinity outrebound Dallas 43-34, and to 17 offensive boards.
Junior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) finished with a team-high 14 points and nine rebounds (one offensive) for the Lady Crusaders.

Dallas hosts Southwestern University (13-5, 7-1 SCAC) on Sunday, Jan. 27, in a 12 p.m. tip-off at the Maher Athletic Center.
