Yoshimura's game-high 24-point effort on road versus Birmingham-Southern College (AL) helps her eclipse 1,000 career points

IRVING, Texas - 5-foot-4 junior guard Kylie Yoshimura has surpassed 1,000 points in her career with the University of Dallas women's basketball team.

Entering Saturday's Jan. 21 road game versus Birmingham-Southern College (Ala.), Yoshimura (Temple City, Calif./Mark Keppel H.S.) had achieved 978 career points.

In the 62-55 defeat to the Lady Panthers, Yoshimura tabulated a game-high 24-points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field, including a 4-of-10 evening from 3-point range, while netting 4-of-7 from the free-throw line.

Point numbers 998, 999 and 1,000 came on a 3-pointer with 26 seconds remaining in the contest.

Now sitting at 1,002 career points, Yoshimura currently ranks as the ninth all-time leading scorer in the University of Dallas Women's Basketball record books.
