Women's Basketball takes care of Rust College

It was a team effort on Friday night, as the University of Dallas women's basketball team (2-3) defeated Rust College, 80-63.

Offensively, sophomore guard Kylie Yoshimura (Temple City, Cali./Mark Keppel H.S.) and senior guard Bethany Roessler (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier College Prep) led the Lady Crusaders in scoring, respectively, each amassing 14 points on the night. Yoshimura also has eight assists.

Junior guard Kelly Regan (Plano, Texas/John Paul II H.S.) and senior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, Texas/Marcus H.S.) both put up 12 points.

Senior forward/center Joirdan Cole (Plano, Texas/Bishop Lynch H.S.), was the fifth Lady Crusader in double-digits, as she netted 10 points. Defensively, Cole, as well as freshman forward Christy Allen (Burton, Mich./St. Thomas More Academy), led with six defensive rebounds each. Additionally, Regan had four steals.

With a .500 winning percentage in sight, the Lady Crusaders will look to avenge their 73-59 loss to Southwestern University, when they take on the Pirates at Southwestern on Sunday. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m.
