Women's Basketball defeated in close one at Millsaps

In the Hangar Dome, located on the campus of Millsaps College, the University of Dallas women's basketball team (1-3) was defeated by Millsaps on Tuesday evening, 49-53. 

Headliners for the Lady Crusaders include junior guard Kelly Regan (Plano, Texas/John Paul II H.S.), senior forward/center Joirdan Cole (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch H.S.), and senior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, TX/Marcus H.S.). 

Regan shot 3-of-9 from the field, including 2-for-4 from behind the arc. Additionally, two free throws gave her a total of 10 points on the night.

Cole went 7-of-14 from the field, for 14 points. This total, combined with 11 rebounds, gave her a double-double. 

Sczepanski was able to convert 3-of-4 free throw opportunities to go along with shooting 4-of-9 from the field, for 11 points. 

Millsaps' Shante Morton was a handful all night in the paint. She finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Also of note was the fact Janice Okeke pulled in 16 boards. 

Up next for UD will be a home match against Rust College on Friday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 p.m.
