Women's Basketball tripped up by McMurry University

The University of Dallas Women's Basketball Tip Off Tourney concluded Saturday evening, as the University of Dallas women's basketball team (1-2) was defeated by the McMurry University Indians, 59-72. 

Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, Texas/Marcus H.S.) was cheered by an adoring crowd, when it was announced she had reached 1,500 points scored as a Crusader. The senior forward finished with a team-high 17 points, before fouling out midway through the second half.

Senior guard Bethany Roessler (Phoenix, Ariz./Xavier College Prep) fared well on the night, totaling 16 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field, in addition to going 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. 

It was a concerted effort by McMurry on the night, with the Indians' leading scorer being held to 15 points. 

Dallas will next be in action when they play at Millsaps College on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd. The tip is slated for 5:00 p.m. in Jackson, Miss.
