NEAC Names Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams

NEAC ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

WOMEN'S ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS
The NEAC selected the Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams today where the top 15 players, as selected by their coaches, received first, second, and third team honors. The NEAC also selected Colleen Clarke of Cazenovia College, as the Player of the Year. Clarke, a senior guard, finished the season with 519 points (22.6/game), 171 rebounds (7.4/game), 66 assists, 115 steals, 3 blocks, 43-for-123 from three point range (.350 behind the arc), 94-of-128 from the free throw line (.734 from the line), and an overall shooting percentage of .439. Clarke was selected four times this season as Athlete of the Week. Keuka College coach David Sweet along with Penn State-Berks coach Tim Coleman were selected by their peers as the NEAC Co-Coaches of the Year. Coach Sweet led his team to an 18-8 overall record while Coach Coleman led his team to a 19-9 overall record and a bid to the NCAA tournament.

Associate members include: Medaille College, SUNY-Oneonta, Rutgers University-Camden, and the University of Dallas. The NEAC has a partnership with the North Atlantic Conference in the sports of baseball, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis.
