Crusaders Cap Off Regular Season In Seguin

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team battled through a challenging weekend against Texas Lutheran but came up short in the three-game series. The Crusaders (9-31, 5-25 SCAC) dropped all three games despite a few bright spots at the plate and some promising moments on defense.

G1 | Texas Lutheran 5, UDallas 2
Dallas showed some early life in the series opener but couldn't overcome a steady Texas Lutheran offense. Keely Mathis went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while MacKenzie Flocke also chipped in a pair of hits. Emily Luna scored a run and added a hit of her own. On the mound, Ava Trevino gave the Crusaders a chance, but the Bulldogs pulled away late to seal the win.

G2 | Texas Lutheran 13, UDallas 0
Game two proved to be a tough outing for the Crusaders, who managed just two hits in a five-inning loss. Emma Sherman and Katie Duffy-Relf each recorded singles, but the offense couldn't find momentum. Despite clean fielding and a few solid defensive innings, Texas Lutheran's bats stayed hot to secure the shutout.

G3 | Texas Lutheran 12, UDallas 1

Keely Mathis brought in the RBI with a sacrifice. Ava Trevino and Emma Sherman split pitching duties but were met with a relentless Bulldog lineup.
