FIRST PITCH
The University of Dallas softball team opens a five-game home stand, its longest of the 2020 season, with reigning 2019 NCAA Division III Champions Texas Lutheran University visiting to kick-off the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opening series.
UD NOTES
- Annabel Anderson (Midlothian, Texas) went 7-13 with 3 doubles, hit her 2nd season homer, and drove in four runs this past weekend in four games at the Millsaps Tournament.
- Anderson and Karina Campo (Georgetown, Texas) are batting over .400 with .452 and .438 clips, respectively. Anderson, Liz Cordova (Oklahoma City, Okla.), and Mackenzie Tano (Wylie, Texas) have reached double-digits in hits with 14, 11, and 10.
- Maggie Watts (Arcadia, La.) leads the pitching staff with 26.2 innings and has picked up three of the team's four winning decisions. Her earned run average is 3.04.
- UD is 2-2 at home this season.
- Dallas is on its second three-game losing streak. Four setbacks have been by three runs or less, and two by one run. The Crusaders are 2-2 in one-run games.
TLU NOTES
- Hold number one spot in National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
