Miller tabbed USCAA Softball Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Jade Miller (Plano, Texas) of the University of Dallas baseball team notched the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA) Softball Player of the Week honor from games through March 19. This is her first time in her career to snag the accolade.

Miller has anchored the lineup throughout the campaign, but last week posted fantastic numbers to help the Crusaders to go 3-1 in two days on the Florida spring break games. Miller sparked the successful span in game one with a 3-for-4 and three RBI.

After tallying those personal high numbers, the outfielder smacked a hit in every contest and actively has a five-game streak. She has reached base safely in 13 straight contests and in 19-of-20 on the spring. Over the four-game span she hit .538 with a slugging percentage of .769.

Miller maintains her team-lead in batting average (.491), hits (28), doubles (3), triples (2), home runs (2), and stolen bases (17). Miller is leading the USCAA in total steals and ranks second in batting average.

Dallas returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play on the diamond March 25-26 versus Schreiner University. Both days have twinbills slated to begin at 12 p.m.
