2nd Straight Year for Softball's Kotlar to be Named on USCAA National All-Academic Team

Akron, Ohio - The 2016 USCAA Softball National All-Academic team was announced at the championship banquet on Sunday, May 15th. The USCAA bestowed the award in 63 student-athletes in total. National All-Academic team honors are awarded to students of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.5 GPA. We congratulate the award recipients listed below.

Garnering the honor for the University of Dallas softball program was junior Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas). It is the second straight year the outfielder has been named as an honoree. Kotlar becomes the third member of the institution this past 2015-16 academic year to be awarded the feat.

Kotlar also was tabbed on the USCAA Honorable Mention All-American Team. She batted ninth in a UD record-breaking 44 starts, and etched personal bests in several offensive categories. These included: batting average (.341), hits (42), doubles (8), home runs (3), runs scored (27), and RBI (22). She also swiped 10 stolen bases and added a pair of triples.
