Rebecca Berreth had the lone RBI with the third base knock in that span to center field. Two other runs scored on a throwing error by UD.

The Lady Crusaders broke the shutout with a run in the third inning. Junior Lyda Tesauro (Hollywood, Fl.) mustered a single to center and scored her teammate Avery Finch (Jamul, Calif.). Finch had just stolen second successfully after freshman Melanie Savala (Bryant, Texas) struck out for the second one in the inning.

Trinity responded with a three-spot in the top of the fourth to expand the lead to 6-1.

The Lady Crusaders did cut the lead in half with two in the sixth inning. Tesauro sparked the three-hit frame with a lead-off double to right. Freshman Katie Antigua (Elk Grove, Calif.) smacked a single to left and reached second on a fielding error by the left fielder. Classmate Samantha Bratsch (The Woodlands, Texas) pinch ran for Antigua and later scored on a double-steal.
