Kotlar tabbed on USCAA All-Academic Team for Softball

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced the 2015 Softball National All-Academic Team on Thursday. Earning the nod from the University of Dallas softball squad was sophomore Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas). She is the second player to recieve the accolade this year from UD, as fellow classmate Tom Kaiser (Nashville, Tenn.) was named for Men's Basketball.

The left fielder became eligible after posting above a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 GPA scale) and accumulated 24 or more credits complete at the institution. Kotlar played and started all 36 contests during the Lady Crusaders' historic campaign. She hit .255 with a home run, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored, and six stolen bases.

Dallas tied a school record 20 wins, and set a conference-high in wins with a 13-9 mark. Both feats are the most for the program since joining the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) four years ago.

About the USCAA:
