IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas is pleased to announce Beth Krysiak as the sixth softball head coach in program history.

For the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Krysiak served as assistant softball coach at Prairie View A&M University, a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I institution in Prairie View, Texas.

The Lady Panthers wrapped their 2013 campaign with a 19-23 record that included a 7-9 mark in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

Krysiak helped the team go 39-41 overall and 15-14 in the SWAC since joining the staff in December 2012.

Her primary duties were in skills development, creating practice plans, running practices, conducting mental training sessions, scouting opponents, serving as a base coach, charting, field maintenance, budgeting and academic support.

Krysiak previously coached softball as an assistant at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, after working as a graduate assistant at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kan.

She has held varying responsibilities with the Houston Power in Texas, Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, La., and the South Montgomery Girls Softball League in Spring, Texas.

In May 2012, Krysiak obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ottawa. May 2010 brought her a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Centenary.

Krysiak primarily played catcher for the Centenary softball team from 2005-2010. The Ladies at the time competed in NCAA Division I, and are now Division III members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Krysiak comes to the University of Dallas with years of community service involvement, which includes breast cancer research fundraising and volunteering at a food pantry/clothing donation center. She has also been a church lector and a religious education class student-teacher.
