Brittany Castro balloted to 2013 All-SCAC Softball 'Honorable Mention' Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Senior shortstop Brittany Castro of the University of Dallas softball team has been selected by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to the 2013 All-SCAC Softball Honorable Mention Team.

Castro (Houston), a 5-foot-3 right-handed batter, finished ranked as follows in the SCAC: a .518 on-base percentage (first), a .713 slugging percentage (second), 14 stolen bases (tied third), three triples (tied third) and a .426 batting average (fourth).

Additionally, she hit four home runs in 2013 to amass a school-record 10 career long balls.
