Softball ends season with loss to Austin College in GM 6 of SCAC Championship Tournament

IRVING, Texas - Austin College needed just five innings to dispatch host school University of Dallas in Saturday's 12-4 elimination game. 

Jessica Baker was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs to lead the 'Roos to victory. Charlotte Trudell was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored and Briana Hernandez chipped in with a home run for two RBIs and two runs scored.

Sam Mutulis went the distance, allowing four runs on six hits in five innings of work. Nicole Frazier picked up the loss for the Crusaders.

Dallas was led by Brittany Castro, who had two hits in two trips to the plate, including a two run-scoring doubles.

Austin (11-29) advances to play Southwestern University in the tournament's next elimination contest. Dallas ends its season at 6-31.
